12th Science
The 12th Science Stream in Tamil Nadu is primarily offered through the Tamil Nadu State Open School (TSOS)
- Medical Group: Focused on Biology and Life Sciences.
- Non-Medical Group: Focused on Mathematics and Computer Science/Engineering.
1. Core Science Subjects & Combinations
To successfully complete the 12th standard, a student must pass a minimum of 5 subjects.
Mandatory Languages (Group A)
- English (302)
- Tamil (304) (or other regional languages/Hindi)
Select 3 or 4 subjects to define your specialization:
- Physics (312): Electrostatics, Optics, and Nuclear Physics.
- Chemistry (313): Organic Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics, and P-block elements.
- Mathematics (311): Calculus, Vectors, and Algebra.
- Biology (314): Genetics, Reproduction, and Ecology.
Tamil Nadu Open School Board EXAM (Class 12th)
For students appearing for HSC (12th) through the open schooling system:
