At Tamil Nadu State Open Board School (TNSOS), we strive to process all admissions, examination registrations, and service requests efficiently. We encourage all students and parents to review the eligibility criteria and fee structure carefully before making any payments.
1. General Refund Policy
1.1. Application and Admission Fees All fees paid to TNSOS, including but not limited to Registration Fees, Admission Fees, and Examination Fees, are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable.
-
Once a student is registered or enrolled, the fee cannot be refunded under any circumstances, even if the student chooses to withdraw from the course or fails to attend examinations.
-
Fees cannot be adjusted against any other student's account or carried forward to future academic years.
1.2. Rejection of Application If an application is rejected by the Board due to ineligibility or failure to submit required documents within the stipulated time, the admission fee will not be refunded. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure they meet all criteria before applying.
2. Exceptions (Double Payments)
2.1. Technical Errors Refunding is only applicable in the specific case of a Double Payment caused by a technical glitch during the online transaction (e.g., if the user is charged twice for the same service).
-
Claim Process: The payer must send an email to info@tamilnaduopenboard.org within 7 days of the transaction.
-
Required Proof: The email must include the Transaction ID, Date of Payment, Bank Reference Number, and a screenshot of the duplicate deduction.
-
Processing Time: Approved refunds for double payments will be processed within 10-14 working days and credited back to the original method of payment.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1. Cancellation by Student Students may choose to cancel their admission at any time by submitting a written request to the Board. However, no refund of previously paid fees will be granted upon cancellation.
3.2. Cancellation by TNSOS The Board reserves the right to cancel the admission of any student if:
-
The student is found to have submitted fake or forged documents.
-
The student does not meet the eligibility requirements (age, prior education).
-
The student engages in malpractice or violates the Board's Code of Conduct.
-
In such cases, the admission will be cancelled immediately, and all fees paid will be forfeited.
4. Chargebacks
We strictly advise against filing invalid chargebacks with your bank. If a chargeback is filed for a valid transaction (e.g., admission fee paid voluntarily), TNSOS reserves the right to block the student's profile and withhold results/certificates until the dispute is resolved and administrative costs are recovered.
